yeah for sure. they CAN'T wait another 3 years to make an album like they did with chuck and UH if they want to get back in the spotlight. and I don't want to wait either lol

They definately need to re-evaluate the direction they want to go in with their music. If anything were to come out of their break, it would have to be that. Because they seemed so sure of themselves that Underclass Hero was the music the band was born to make and if they plan on keeping that sound and never changing, never growing, they're going to disappear.

dude...blink didnt sing about drinking in the back of an el camino ever. but ik what you mean by that. and again your wrong. blink's last album had nothing really to do with their teen years and it was a mature album.

as for sum 41. they need another album like chuck or dtli. like the perfect mix between them.

Yeah, keep the vocal harmonies, the piano and keyboards, the acoustics and strings and all the bells and whistles.

But don't put them in every song because then none of the songs have anything unique about them anymore.

Lots of people despise Slipping Away, but I'm glad that Sum 41 made it because it was different for them and was a lot more "out there" than anything on Underclass Hero.

I like Slipping Away. It has a really nice sound and I think it fits in with the theme of Chuck.

Yeah, I like Slipping Away too. Its nice and always makes me calm whenever I listen to it. Plus, I love Deryck's singing in it.

Everyone would like another Chuck or DTLI?, but the chances of that happening are slim. I would love it if they made a new album that branched off in a new direction, but had a few songs that reached back to their roots, and not ones that sound almost exactly the same. Underclass Hero sounds waay too much like Fat Lip to me...

I'm not going to expect amazing solos from Deryck, but he better write at least one song post-Brownsound with a riff as awesome as Over My Head or something. I mean, he claims he "wrote all the riffs" so it shouldn't be that hard to come up with something.

yeah good point. but I also believe (but hate to admit) that without dave, and deryck doing all the songs, the metal of chuck and DTLI? is long gone, never to come back. and to be honest I think that would be the same even with dave, they never make the same sounding album twice (HHOP and AKNF don't count)

I know Wikipedia is quiet unreliable, but i'll post what I found anyway:

"Sum 41 is will be entering the studios this fall to record their fallow-up to Underclass Hero"

lol, what a bunch of crap.

Anyways, slipping away is exactly what it's suppose to be, an intermission from the other stuff.

I think, a heavier album would be so much better than the stuff they are putting out now, and if they had like dave come in and do a collab with them, that would be badass. But all the guys are maturing, and deryck is married and in love now, so all the songs he probably wants to make are love songs, and stevo is getting married, and i think cone is too, so they are all gonna be like that soon. so we are just gonna hve to wait and see
