It annoys me how some critics actually thought Underclass Hero was Sum 41's "maturing" album. It's as if they never even heard the Infected album. Sum 41 have always written serious songs, but I think they matured in Infected where they started to sing a little more than their personal lives and had more of an outlook on different topics.

i think they mean maturing more in the sense that they are getting older and they are starting to settle down and sort out their lives (ie. producing their own album, marriages etc.)
but, yeah, infected onwards is pretty mature lyric-wise

Um... before the album was released, Dave said that an alternate name for the album was "Hot Blonde Snooter Sandwich". So it's not Deryck borrowing the name from a blog. He was serious.
Plus, that's clearly not a blog entry. It's a copy-paste from an actual article.

I don't think it has anything to do with dignity, 'Does this look infected' wasn't exactly a mature title, I would have prefered 'Hot Blonde Snooter Sandwich' not that theres anything wrong with 'Chuck' but honestly look where dignity has got them now, they've become pretty unpopular and they're down a great guitarist. And "Hot Blonde Snooter Sandwich" is Simple Plan shit? No way, they'd never come with any thing remotely that cool and they wouldn't have the guts to cal their album that either.
hold on dude. yea, they lost a guitarist and lots of fans but thanks to "dignity" they wrote DTLI and Chuck and personally i think those are their two best albums.
so what if they are not as popular as the rappers and pop stars in MTV. thats not the point in being in a band. the point of being in a band is to make great music which they did with so called "dignity". to me as long as sum 41 keeps being sum 41 they'll always be the greatest band on earth.
I'm more refering to after chuck, believe me I know what you mean, DTLI and chuck are great albums, definetly their best. I just think Sum41 get no where near the recognition they deserve, but sometimes they don't really do much to help themselves.

I was looking on the
lyric wiki page for sum 41 and if you look under other songs, I can alot of songs that I've never heard before, nor of working titles, does anyone have any knowledge whether theses song were legit working titles such as:
Way Away
Just Words
Name Of The Game
Not By Them
Take Me Tonight
What I Did Wrong
Whatever
I looked at those lyrics and bleed is the only one I think I made it farther into Noots, anyone got some info or sources?

The titles "Chuck" and "Does this Look Infected" are speciel titles for some very special music created by a very special band, you remember those titles.
