I'm not trying to undermind your knowledge...but...what are you basing that on? Did they actually outright say that, or are you just assuming based on what you've seen?

Steve was Deryck's best man at his wedding. That speaks volumes.

Beyond that, they've been friends the longest and when Steve and Deryck talk about memories from when they were teenagers, they mention things that the other did, not things that Cone or Dave did. When Avril talks about Deryck talking to people about problems and personal stuff, she always refers to Steve.

Alright cool, fair enough. I was honestly just innocently wondering 'cause I didn't remember hearing that back in the day, and was wondering if/what had been said since - but yeah, the best man thing definitely lets us know.

yeah, i thought so too cuz Steve was the best man yet like i said, when their had to pair, those were always Cone and Steve together and Deryck and Dave together.

I remember in an interview or something Steve said that Deryck saved him from getting beat up from some kid in school and that's how they met. And Deryck was happy cause he found out Steve was a drummer or something.

If you want to bring astrology into this, Leos and Aeris are soulmates. So based on that, they should be really good friends. I mean, if you believe in stuff like that. But then again, that would also mean Dave and Deryck would be good friends, yet they are not. So I don't even know why I mentioned astrology in the first place. I'm bored, I guess, haha.

Yeah about the thing that Deryck saved Steve from a bully, it was in Maximum Sum 41 biography CD.

and about astrology, i think Dave and Deryck were really good friends when being in Sum 41, and when started the band and all... the fact that the break up made Deryck bitter, doesn't means he wont be a friend of Dave's in some time... after he'll get over it.

Aw, that does seem pretty harsh.
I mean:
It was a short answer.
He didn't really say his opinion, I mean NO SHIT it sounds like metal!!

But Cone never seemed to be the one to be kinda blunt!!
He was always amazing.

Well... To be honest... Cone seems to be kind of 'out' of the band.
I guess it's 'cause he's quiet. But I dunno.
Although he DOES pair up with Stevo alot.. I dno.
Steve IS really close to Deryck
Maybe they feel kinda weird since he's not in the band :/
but I've never thought about Cone and Dave as close.
I mean SURE, their really good friends, but not the way Deryck and Stevo are.
In my opinion, Cone seems closer to Deryck [not as close as stevo but wtvr]
Stevo and Dave seem to joke around much more...
