Wow, how come you don't like it? I think the chorus and the feel of the song is like old sum 41.
Really? I think it sounds totally new and dark. Hmm. I don't know. The more I listen to it I start liking it more. Happiness machines is probabably my favourite song right now.

I think this is their best album because almost all of their songs stand out and that has never happened with any of their other albums

Are you insisting that SBM is not that good of an album?

Well I didn't really like UH that much but I still listened to it a bunch, so I'm sure I'll like this as I like the few songs that I've heard better.

Also you're not allowed to post these threads yet it makes people waiting for official releases less excited, jeez man!

The album to me sounds like the took Chuck and Underclass Hero and mixed them together to make a very unique album

If you don't like it and you want to cry just go take a shower with all you're clothes on and think about it, best way to solve problems :silly:

The album is too new for me to form a true opinion. I don't know how this could be anyones "favorite Sum album" after a day and a half but. Chuck still holds strong for me, tried and true. However I definitely like the direction they're going in. To be honest, most of the songs sound like they belong to other records. RTB sounds like it's straight off of Chuck, while the others are just out there... Certain songs don't even sound like Sum 41 to me, for instance "Baby You Don't Wanna Know" and "We Are The Same". The entire album honestly sounds a bit alien for their style except in certain shades. I like it but it is very new for them, it's going to take some getting used to. On certain songs I feel like they lumped ideas together a bit too quickly. I love the way the songs switch up tempos but on certain ones I feel it takes away from the flow. The chord changes were easily readable to me (meaning I knew if the instruments would go up or down) and I didn't like that. I think their next album will truly show their greatness, as long as they mature in this style and stay the course this time.

And Dave needs to comeback. Just saying.

Those songs save the album for me because otherwise the theme of the record would play out for me very quickly.

I think this album is probably (I haven't listened to the whole thing yet) a bit too grown up for most 15-20 year olds. 5 years ago when I was 19, I was still listening to AKNF and DTLI most of the time and UH was easy to get into because of the partially revived pop-punk spirit. As SBM was beginning to take shape, I suddenly learned to like and appreciate the incredible depth and dynamics of Chuck which I had almost been avoiding since a few weeks after the release. It might be the same for you, don't give your first impression too much credit.

The only song I would say that SUCKS is What Am I To Say.

That song feels like it would be an Underclass Hero bonus. I don't like how it gives me that reference to Underclass Hero.

I don't really listen to that song at all.

I also don't listen to Crash often, but it is a good song. Same goes for Exit Song because, let's be honest here, how many people will go into iTunes and click Exit Song to listen to?

That's funny. What am I To Say doesn't sound like an Underclass Hero bonus to me. it's far too strong to be a b-side. It sounds exactly like an Underclass Hero tune, but I love it. To me it's almost like he finally got the formula he used on that album right in this one song, but it's four years too late.

As for Exit Song, I quite like it and think it stands on its own rather well. Reason To Believe acoustic is a different story though, I can safely say that is going to be my least listened-to Sum 41 song ever for the rest of eternity. It's absolutely piss poor.
