I think they kind of knew that going in with Deryck's still recovering condition. The Jack at least relaxed him and the true fans were excited to see them anyway.

He just drank too much.. a little bit of Jack could've helped.. but he had a lot.. he wasn't even able to pronounce the words correctly and he forgot a lot of lines..

Yeah it's actually a real shame, it was a good time to promote the album and show to a TV audience they still had it but that performance was crap. And he fucked up both the new songs from it, oh well. Also I agree about MTV not helping as their sound was awful at times, the levels for everything were fucked.

..that show would've been so much better if he wasnt totally trashed The vocals were almost embarrassing at parts, but at least he didn't really mess up any guitar parts..

Yeah, the thing is we don't really know how he was feeling that day before he started drinking. My guess is that he was still feeling down and sleepy from the pneumonia. Remember how weird and slow he behaved in the pre-show interview. "The Jack Daniel's helps" but it comes at a price. Still, better than having to cancel again.

Moving on, I'm really excited for the Kimmel performance. They even upload the shows to the Jimmy Kimmel Live channel on Youtube.

Cone was awesome! and you could totally see deryck struggling, just watch his face and hand at 9:30.

i honestly think they should drink less, it doesn't do them any good at all. they've got to be so jet lagged and fucked up all the time from drinking all night and sleeping in the morning and then flying over seas for over 20 hours straight.
