^I doubt it. I think Someone asked Cone if the new album would be emo, and he said the album was the furthest thing from emo. Or maybe it was screamo... Whatever, Aren't they the same thing?

ALSO, Don't make the influences so obvious. Make the influences more subtle. I want to be able to listen to Sum 41, and not think of another band.

I might consider killing myself if anything on the new album reminds me of 21st Century Breakdown, haha.Mulholland '49 wrote:ALSO, Don't make the influences so obvious. Make the influences more subtle. I want to be able to listen to Sum 41, and not think of another band.

Yeah. Green Day is the first thing that comes to mind. But the songs on the original EP were made before 21CB. So, that gives us some hope... hopefully.I might consider killing myself if anything on the new album reminds me of 21st Century Breakdown, haha.

I want the album to go 7x platinum, have them appear in 4 different movies, and own a weekly spot performing live on MTV.

If it sounds anything like that then Deryck would have been lying all this time about heading towards a more dark and aggressive outcome.Gunner wrote:I might consider killing myself if anything on the new album reminds me of 21st Century Breakdown, haha.Mulholland '49 wrote:ALSO, Don't make the influences so obvious. ^ True. Right now, I'm guessing the new album will have the same sound we heard in "Always". It just seems like the most logical thing.

Re: Sum 41 2010 Album Expectations!
Deryck said that the new album will be nothing like Always, that's why they released it in the greatest hits rather than putting it in the new album. It would've not fit.Mulholland '49 wrote:^ True. EDIT: 900! Woo! Partay!
