Back from Vancouver. London is next! Can't wait to see the new Alice and Wonderland. Burton is badass! *D
edit: I meant to post this on master twitter thread, ups. Oh well, it seems like he's taking a break from studio x)

Not really a break, the movie premiere is on Feb 25 (Avril will attend)

I asked Cone on myspace how many songs will have piano on them on the new album and he said this:
Just a few. A lot of piano stuff is just used for texture overdubs on parts of songs. A few parts will have just piano though. Not a lot though.

Yeah, he was like, "more than any other record" but then "but it's like..." and didn't get the chance to explain. I think what is quoted by Cone above sums it up pretty much.
