That seems like a realistic date.
I can just see it being pushed back, AGAIN. which would suck.
I hope I'm wrong.

and that other news is great as well!

My guess is that it won't be pushed back again right now.

IR wanted to realease it in February since August or September or so, so I guess SBM is their priority for those months.

I don't remember reading that haha. but that makes me a little more optimistic for a February release :)

It's so 'far' away that it's nearly impossible to push it back once more. The album is done, all they have to do is manufracture it. They have lots of time to do that.

Manufacturing isn't even a long process. Its obvious that the label is just waiting for the perfect marketing and promotion for the album, and not to coincide with any other releases on the label.

Exactly. Remember Deryck said it takes about 3 months of production after the record master is ready, so if the label wanted to, they would release it right now.

i really wish the sums would just hurry the fuck up with this album. holy shit, i remember late last year predicting june 20th for a release date, trying not to get my hopes up too high, being that 6/20 was like 8 months away when i picked that day. and now it's like literally a year after i made my prediction and there's still NO set release date. come on! so here's my second prediction: 3/15/11 (my 20th birthday btw). that'd be a sick gift, and holy shit, if they don't release it by THEN, i'm gonna freak.

I asked if he could give us any more titles. I also asked about the "car crash song" the "12 min song", drum sounds, lyrics, album artwork, progression from previous albums, and if they will play new songs on Eastpak. So I'm pretty bummed its been almost a month and nothing back yet.

btw, thanks for the AP scan Jeremy. I was just at the bookstore and didn't pick it up
I talked to Matt last night. Some things he said:

- Rock radio consultants came to Deryck's and listened to the album and called it "groundbreaking".
- He said the album is a punk version of the Smashing Pumpkin's Mellon Collie and Infinite Sadness mixed with Metallica's Black Album and Does This Look Infected?.
- By far, the best Sum 41 album in his opinion.

Win.
Yes. Win to the power of 41. I'm going to listen to all those albums tonight.

LoL, you haven't really read this thread at all, have you?
The Sums have already finished their part. It's all about the label now.

It's not their fault in any way. Sum 41 has finished their part on the project. The label has to do the rest and they are being turkeys.

THREE OF MY TOP 20 ALBUMS OF ALL TIME!

FUCK I'm not worried about emo shit anymore.... My expectations went up even more. Forget an entertaining pop punk album.. I'm expecting legendary shit like this:

Melodic like this:
And heavy like this:

It seems so far away still though. Where the FUCK is the wikipedia page for it? Why is it still tentativally titled? We have like 4 confirmed tracks.

I didn't mention MCR being emo in my post, but since you have Aspergers, I'll let it slide.

They seem to delete the wikipedia page everytime. I created another page for it once with the confirmed titles we had (SBM, Blood In My Eyes, Like Everyone Else, Skumfuk, Jessica Kill) and back when the tentative date was around October 2010, and they deleted it even though I sourced it all...most sources were from TNS haha, from all the chats and stuff but thats like the most credible info since it came from Cone and Tom themselves.
