I think this album will be like a combo of DTLI and UH. Heavy hitting up tempo songs like Infected and some slower ballad types plus a mix of piano like UH

Ya know it's gonna be a good album when even the fuckin' piano sounds heavy.

i know the piano sounds good and it IS good but not too much. I'm starting to get afraid for another UH. I know it'll probably be better and its just the vids that make it look like this but just saying.

It's nice to hear the riff that was in an update back in the middle of 2009 will make the album.

I've got to give a lot of credit to Sum 41 for these updates. I feared when they started it that they would grow tired of having a camera around, but thankfully not. This album sounds as if its going to be their best one yet. Let's hope it is :)

I couldn't agree with you more. It's awesome that they're putting out as many updates as they are. For the Underclass Hero album they only had (as far as I can remember) two rehearsal videos and one studio update. This album, they've given us 5 or 6 updates from 2009, 13 pre-production videos, and 10 studio updates (so far).

That riff he was playing in Day 9 sounds like it would be an intro or part of the song he was playing out on the deck with the Gretsch (I forget what day that was).

Yeah, I think that's right. And the studio update was so brief it was unbelievable.

My only bummer with the videos is that they aren't very long, wouldn't mind 5 minute updates but I suppose that's too much to ask since I don't think they want to take too much away and ruin the surprise but I expect to here a new full song soon witht their upcoming Warped Tour dates.

This times infinity. I have a sneaky feeling they might play Reading and Leeds this year (perhaps Lock Up?)

yea, I'm feeling that too, I bloody hope so! wouldn't mind them at Download too, as that's a couple of weeks before they start the Warped Tour, I just don't know if they're planning to still be in Europe at the start of June

yea, fairly small. it's a punk stage for 2 days and a dance stage for the 3rd.

It's the 3rd biggest stage, and normally on Friday and Saturday it's for the punk acts. The thing is Sum 41 aren't as big as they were in the UK imo. Billy Talent, Rise Against and Anti Flag have all played it and I see them on the same level in terms of popularity now.

Having said that, Anti Flag opened up the mainstage at Reading 08

and they also played another set the same day on the Lock Up stage. Jimmy Eat World did the same thing on 07 by playing 2 sets. I can see Sum 41 playing the main stage the same day as Blink 182 tbh, they could have a few "pop punk" bands playing that day with Blink, which would be pretty cool. if not then a failry high up slot on the Lock Up stage would work quite well.

Yeah, or they could do what Anti Flag did in 08, open up main stage on Friday/Saturday and play Lock Up headlining spot the same day. But if Blink 182 are there then Sums before Blink would be good.

Is Give it a Name in the UK this year as well? Or have they stopped it here in the UK?
