This song really grew on me. The first few listens (last night) I was really not impressed, but now I love it (about 10 listens later). I'm not sure what was wrong before. I guess it just has to grow on you. It was the same for Skumfuk, but I loved SBM instantly.

I think this album will have a lot of growing to do on some fans because some songs will be so different than what the band has done before. Even the riffs are different than what they have done before.

In the past, a "Sum 41 riff" was The Hell Song, Fat Lip or Underclass Hero. The riffs from Screaming Bloody Murder and Blood In My Eyes are like "No-more-fucking-around style! What, you cried cause Dave left and there would be no more cool riffs? You didn't like how I used that chord progression in Underclass Hero?! Well, listen to this!"

I love that the music is going somewhere its never been, it's combining the rawness of DTLI, the heaviness of Chuck and the songwriting of UH to make one fucking epic sound

I wanted to find a way how to describe this album how it was built by the other albums but didn't really got an idea, but you really got it. Spot on there!

Songwriting of UH + Rawness of DTLI + Heaviness of Chuck = Screaming Bloody Murder <--- EPIC.

Yeah, I think Deryck has improved in songwriting. I thought UH would be hard to beat, but the feelings on this album are really intense. I don't experience that with any other band. Deryck has a style that I love, and I know that I'll love this album (I would never spend 60€ in a record without even having listened to it first).
And yeah, heaviness (+ darkness) of Chuck means that this album is gonna be EPIC. I can't believe we're almost done waiting :D

yep, pretty sure it was over the summer.

whats everyones play count for the song so far? my Last.Fm says 71, 5th most played song. 1st being Skumfuk and 2nd being Screaming Bloody Murder. although the numbers are different than that on my iTunes.

You're friend has to be kidding. I'm not a Fall Out Boy hater (some of their songs are actually pretty good I must admit), but it sounds nothing like FOB and I have no idea how your friend could've come up with that. And also, Sum 41 can't be beat at this song.

The riff sounds like something Metalcore.. you know, this progression, something in the vein of Hand of Blood by Bullet for My Valentine. Actually, it really reminds me of the Hand of Blood riff!
