you dont necessarily wake up at the climax of your dreams.
(rofl....climax....)
anyway you wake up at the tip of that "rem" sleep thing. during nightmares, however, you can fall alseep for those and it lengthens that awake part

I don't think dreams mean anything. But I know that dreaming is fucking awesome.
Dunno if anyone ever heard of lucid dreaming? Lucid dreaming is knowing when you're dreaming and by that manipulate the dream. This is so sweet cuz as soon as you are aware of the fact that you're dreaming you can do what ever you want because you know it's just a dream. The hardest part is how to find out if you're dreaming. Ive got some examples:
in a dream, try to check the time. If a digital clock says something like '49:A7' you get kinda confussed because you know that cant be true. If this goes well, you'll get a lucid dream. At this point I always feel verry happy. Because I realise Im going experience my wildest imagenation.
in a dream, a lot of weird stuff happens. But some stuff is so weird that it just can't be real. You think about it and you realise you're dreaming and off you go.
I always start with sqatchen trough my knees and take a huge Supermanish jump and fly away. Most of the times I fly to a place where I can: play an awesome gig, fighting a huge fight with sweet skills or some female related stuff
This stuff is hard to believe but it really works. this 'skill' can also be trained. If you want to have it for a first time I'd try looking at a clock.
The best time to do this is during the REM. If you normally sleep till bout 10 in the morning. try to wake up at around 9.15 or something and go back to sleep again. If I do this I have like a 99% chance to start dreaming. And because I woke up before, Im not sleeping very deep. Wich makes it easier to realise you're dreaming.
Well, I hope some one reads all this lol:P And tries it out, because it rocks!
Enjoy
ps. Im not some kind of messed up guy who cant seperate dreams from reality!
Lol, dont worry i read all of it , i know about lucid dreams, but i never had one, like i dont know how to...did it ever work for you?

I can never "control" myself in a dream. It's always just what happens. But in the dream, i realize it is a dream and just "ignore" it. I would love to control what i dream about.
^I nearly ALWAYS control my dreams, it's so weird! like for example, I turn around, and I decide who the person behind me is, but I don't decide what they say or anything, just the minor stuff.
i could control where i want to go in my dreams.
i've dreamed of me playing with the sums on stage twice, does that mean that will come true?
i also had a dream that my mum would get murdered
i have controlled my own dreams once and a while, but i wasn't really sleeping. i knew i was just laying in my bed with my eyes closed and i thought about what i should do/ what appeared in my dream. i'd love to control the dream entirely.
you have far too much time on your hands
"The missing part of me that grows around me like a cage..."
I dreamt my sister died. I dreamt it till the end. It was like a movie. It felt so bad. But the way she dies is ridiculous.

I can never control my dreams and I KNOW i'm dreaming! Billy's got skillz!
I'll try that wake up and go back to sleep thing in the weekend.

but how do you control it? For me, it's like i'm stuck in my own head with no control of my body or events that happen...
I remember my best dream ever, it was when i still had a huge crush on Cone (he was pretty hot in the AKNF/DTLI era, haha, so it was a long time ago) and i saw me and him sitting on a swing in the summer, everything that surrounded us was breathtakingly beautiful and we talked like we've been friends for a long time. It's hard to put the mood and surroundings in to words, but it was awesome. I was sad when i had to wake up. No dream has ever been this perfect, ever.
^ awww that's so cute. =[ I used to be mentally obsessed with Cone.

Yeah, exactly. I'm just forced to sit there and watch. Oh and I do remember wanting stuff to happen while I'm dreaming, but they don't happen. And I know it's a dream. But I mean if you remember controlling a dream, or while you're controlling it, don't you feel awake? I think Billy's the only one who can do it successfully here.
And to Janet, that's so... I don't know how to describe it. Not artistic, but... I don't know. Perfect, like you said! That would make a beautiful photograph. I always really enjoy myself when I'm just sitting next to a friend in a quiet, peaceful atmosphere and talk like there's no tomorrow. To me, that's one of the things that can make me really, really happy and just content.
