Actually, you can post in topics more than one month old as long as it's relevant and contributing to the discussion. You just can't bump topics for the sake of it or by just saying, "Cool" or some wank like that.

And back in the day we had this thing on TNS called the Post Whores Association where people just spammed the shit out of the forums and hijacked threads.
