They should just release ep/lp before Green Day releases their lp, cause then it'd have change be successful.imo

Yeah, I bet Green Day's new album would be much more highly anticipated than Sum 41's. It might get overshadowed by Green Day's new album.

Yeah, it probably would, and that sucks, but I mean, I don't blame hardcore Green Day fans and such cuz Green Day's last album (AI) was released in 2004, and UH was only released in 2007, so you know...
On the other hand, the feel of Sum 41's album is more into their heavy roots, like DTLI and Chuck it seems (and from the samples we heard in the studio videos), so it's totally different from what Billie Joe has said about the new Green Day album which is more power pop influenced and more influenced by bands like The Beatles and The Kooks... thats a more old school pop/rock direction than Sum 41's punk/metal direction.
