PC IS HORRIBLE OH MY GOD.
maybe because ps3 is complete and utter garbage and the 360 is not?
Yea ps3 will last 48759875 years blah blah but during that 30 years of lasting you have to play on a shitty system.

PCs are FTW. I mostly play PC games. But i have a PC that is only about 450 points of the record 3DMark Vantage score :P But it comes in at around £2000 more expensive than a PS3 :P
But surely if you would prefer an Xbox, just tell you mum and she'd understand? and wouldnt 'its cheaper' work on about 99.9% of the worlds population?

Yes, but she doesn't like the idea of sitting around and playing video games, so i'm trying to convience her in other terms

Dude I have both and I can honestly say the Xbox beats the PS3 so much.
1) 80% of my friends use the Xbox
2) Gears of War, Halo 3. Need I say more?
I would write more but I'm tired. Seriously though Xbox 360 is awesome, PS3 is good, but just not as great in terms of online play and selection of games / exclusive games.

Peter, I am honestly astounded that the votes are favoured towards the PS3. All the people that I know that have one try their best to justify what they bought by saying that the online is free. True, however it also sucks dick. Xbox Live may cost you £39.99 a month, but it is infinitely better, including in-game chat, private chat, Windows Live Messenger, game invites, private messages, voice messages. And the content available is a lot better, for example the Xbox Live Arcade has some great games on offer, my most recent purchase was the stand-alone Portal that comes without buying the Orange Box. Impressive stuff. Ps3 can do a few of those, but it performs poorly. Like sending game invites and messages can't be done in-game. wtf?
The online play on a 360 is great. Bar a few games that have a flawed netcode, the system works as laglessly and flawlessly as on a PC. PS3 owners are lucky with their free internet, but it comes at a cost (no pun intended) of having a sub-standard online experience.
Finally, my argument is that the 360 has an overall deeper experience, with tons of exlcusives, such as Gears of War, Deadrising, Perfect Dark, Halo, Ninja Gaiden, Banjo Kazooie, Lost Odyssey, Project Gotham Racing, Viva Pinata to name just a few.It has also stolen tons of the PS3 exclusives because of its popularity (Devil May Cry series, Final Fantasy series, Grand Theft Auto series for example are now available on Xbox as well as the PS3 originally).
