Dave had been out of the band for about 6 months when Deryck and Avril got married. They got married in July. According to the recounts from the band members, Dave privately left the band in February.

Matt, Avril's brother, was one of his best men because he's the BRIDE'S BROTHER. If Deryck had a sister, she would've been one of the bridesmaids. MY GOD.

Dave has said that he was invited, but had other commitments (apparently something to do with signing papers? it's more of an insult to Deryck than an insult to Dave).

On a completely different note, now that you know a bit more about Deryck's wedding, Dave's involvement with it, and, you know, just WEDDINGS IN GENERAL, my slightly unrelated comment:

I think it's blatantly obvious that Deryck and Dave weren't very close when he left the band, and no one has tried to hide that.

Well, officialy Dave left like in around May 2006 but then again, its also before the wedding and we know Deryck was bitter about the whole Dave leaving thing so that makes sense Dave wasn't there and all, although a guy as humble as Dave would probably come to show respect, cuz it seems even when Deryck kept saying Dave had nothing to do with the Sum 41 sound and all when he left, Dave still had respect for Deryck and didn't start a fight about it.
