yeah it was, but they're pop punk again, so it fits now I guess.

I don't mind. It's a couple having fun on tour... doesn't really affect Deryck's character OR Sum 41. It's not a huge surprise that it's "In Too Deep" considering Avril's entire show is upbeat and the song's been back on Sum 41's setlist for the past year and a half.

at least it makes avril's show cooler to go to. hell, i wouldn't ever pay to see avril lavigne, but if i happened to be at one of her shows and a sum song came on, with DERYCK backing her, i'd be stoked. though yes, i did die a little inside the first time i saw this.

i noticed too that she continued playing it even without deryck. he flew home for cone's wedding in the middle of avril's asian tour and i saw youtube vids of her guitarist singing it with her instead.

No, she covered it without him after he went home following her birthday. It was like 3 shows and they had the whole encore worked up with it.

Does anyone remember.....on one of their tours.....possibly for DTLI, when they played Complicated ?

Actually, up yours. She's been performing this since her show in August 5 in Sudbury, and we've had videos of it since August 7th.
