Re: Dave stops singing for Brown Brigade
Pardon me, I was seeing "I only liked BB because of Dave", not "I only like BB because of the vocals, which happen to be Dave". To me, only liking BB because of Dave means you only like them because you like him...rather than because you actually enjoy listening to the music.
Who knows if they'll even have the "new singer" sing the old songs...Dave might still sing the songs he sings now. We really have no idea.
But they won't let their sound be changed and compromised simply because of a new member. The new member will only be chosen if he/she truly fits their sound, and them as a group. A lot of why Craig left the band was because it just didn't fit - so I can't see them throwing just anyone in there, even if it doesn't work...you know?
(and PS - the BB of now isn't the "original", since Craig is gone...didn't hear anyone bitchin' about that :P)

Re: Dave stops singing for Brown Brigade
i decided to start listening to them because Dave was in it, and i wanted to support him. i continue to listen to them because they kick ass.
you can always replace a guitarist or drummer because it dosen't sound differet musically, visually -yes. a change in vocalists is always difficult, it may completely change their sound, it may not. we just have to wait and see. but a change in line up is always a curious thing to hear.

^
Yeah, I heard this Travis Sanders guy sang for a while in the band but i dont think there is anything recorded with his vocals.
Hearing a new singer would be interesting i guess, although I really liked Dave as the singer.

I sent him a Facebook message a while back, probably a month ago, about a new album and who talks at the beginning of We're All to Blame, but he hasn't replied yet.

I think the new singer will rock. I trust Dave's and the rest of the band's judgement.

...he so still uses facebook and myspace...:P
But he also gets bajillions of messages to all of those on a daily basis...probably less-so to his email since most douches don't think to actually look at the "email address" part on facebook...
