I don't think this will work but try this;

Hopefully your running XP :confused:

1. Start Menu > Run;

2. Type the following: %appdata%

3. Find the delete the folder Apple [And iTunes if there is one]

4. Run iTunes

[Like I said, I don't think this will work,]
My next idea was to downgrade to an older version of iTunes

The original disk should have quicktime, as it and iTunes comes as a pair, iTunes cannot be launched with quicktime, if worst comes to worst, get Real Player, it may be shite but it will allow you to transfer music to your iPod.

Ok. I got it on my computer and i even got it to say itunes cannot open open because the liberary was made bby a later version. So, what is the oldest version of itunes that will support 3 generation ipod naos?

Delete the libary then, If I remember correctly it's in your "My Music" folder as a folder called "iTunes"; Delete that folder, [UNLESS all your music is within that folder, if it is, move it somewhere then delete that folder]. This will make iTunes create a new library and all you have to do is add the music files again, easy as pie

But that just leaves me with and out dated usless itunes. I might not have posted this but the whole reason i posted this is because i cannot get itunes to suport my new 3 generation ipod nano... Leaving me with an old version of itunes won't help.

Ok. I figured it out. For anyone who gets this problem do this
Start, My Computer, C Drive, Program Files, Itunes, Right Click On The Blue Music Note One, Find Compadibility, uncheck it. :cool:
