Well... There are some threadead conversations on those blogs, many of them involving Deryck and Avril.
Avril's blog says:
[[ Disclaimer:: I am not really Avril Lavigne. I'm just a fan pretending to be here for a RPG. ]]

lolz.
And yeah, Hot Blonde Snooter Sandwich could be a cool and funny name, but i think the album was just too serious in its content to have such a stupid name haha

Hot blond snooter sandwich is the kind of shit that Limp Bizcuit would name their album.

I hope that those steve or derycks blogs are fake, as far as I know all members of sum41 dont have those kind of profiles and reading what's written on them, its pretty childish...

they were going to name it HBSS, but yeah, than Chuck saved their lives, that's what they always said: they were just so happy to still be alive that they just decided to name the whole album after him, that's it.
Teenage queen..hmm maybe Noots? Oh no, I think she knows, that's why I can't let go
who knows

These guys are like, 25 now.
Not 13.
Do you honestly think they'd lack the dignity enough to name an album "Hot Blonde Snooter Sandwich?" Especially for an album as maturely directed as Chuck? No.
"Hot Blonde Snooter Sandwich" is Simple Plan shit.

So what's the connection between this fake blog and Deryck's statement on the Q&A section?
Question:
if chuck didn't save your lives, what would that album have been called?
asked by yooori on Monday, July 31, 2006
Answer:
hot blonde snooter sandwhich
answered by deryck on Monday, July 31 , 2006 6:09 AM
This blog was made in 2004, Q&A took place in 2006.
So Deryck had read the blog afterwards and borrowed the title from it?
Or did they really joke with HBSS before going to Congo?
If I remember correctly, they were in Congo around May 2004?
And the blog is from February?
I'm really confused right now. :?

If Chuck hadn't saved their lives they wouldn't have released an album. period 8)

I don't think the seriousness of the album would have prevented them from giving it a not-so-serious title. Does This Look Infected? wasn't a particularly light-hearted album either, but the album art and title don't really reflect it.

Yeah, exactly, the album was a lot more serious, songs like Still Waiting, No Brains and Mr. Amsterdam for example (although there are the light hearted My Direction and All Messed Up), but still, the album art, the music videos and everything was still light hearted.

Musically they are the two lightest tracks on the album and i think they'd have suited AKNF better.

I don't think it has anything to do with dignity, 'Does this look infected' wasn't exactly a mature title, I would have prefered 'Hot Blonde Snooter Sandwich' not that theres anything wrong with 'Chuck' but honestly look where dignity has got them now, they've become pretty unpopular and they're down a great guitarist. Thanks dignity!
And "Hot Blonde Snooter Sandwich" is Simple Plan shit? No way, they'd never come with any thing remotely that cool and they wouldn't have the guts to cal their album that either.

hold on dude. yea, they lost a guitarist and lots of fans but thanks to "dignity" they wrote DTLI and Chuck and personally i think those are their two best albums.
so what if they are not as popular as the rappers and pop stars in MTV. thats not the point in being in a band. the point of being in a band is to make great music which they did with so called "dignity". to me as long as sum 41 keeps being sum 41 they'll always be the greatest band on earth.

It annoys me how some critics actually thought Underclass Hero was Sum 41's "maturing" album. It's as if they never even heard the Infected album. Sum 41 have always written serious songs, but I think they matured in Infected where they started to sing a little more than their personal lives and had more of an outlook on different topics.
