I was thinking the same thing. 4 isn't even middle aged for cats...
The only cat I've had, besides the two I have now, lived to 16 years. Currents are 4.5 years and 1.5 years.

I can one up that shit! My 17 cent feeder goldfish is living longer than his cats! *lol* He's 4.5 as we speak.
I've also had feeder goldies live to 8 years, and two of them to 12 years.

My grandma's cat died just last year. He lived to almost 18.
