I don't hate him because he left Blink. His choice, clearly. I don't hate him at all. I don't really like him because of the way he always has been and the WAY he left Blink really adds on to that.

I like his music.
The only thing that annoys me about him is when he goes like 'oh i only said that stuff about whisper because of the painkillers', instead of sticking by what he said.

I agree that it was good (amazing in my opinion) while it lasted, and bands do break up, people change etc etc.
But I used to really respect Tom DeLonge. I didn't disrespect him for "breaking up blink" as such, and I didn't disrespect him for turning his back on Mark & Travis, but I do disrespect him for his attitude to Angels & Airwaves.
He has lost a lot of respect from me for acting like his music is the greatest thing in the world, which, again in my opinion, it isn't. I-Empire was soooo bland!
Mark and Travis are still cool though, even though the music isn't as good as blink's 8)

is it just me or do you guys think the reason angels & airwaves is crappy is because tom never wanted it to be as sucessful as blink? i mean hes keeps talking about blink's 24/7 touring so if he made a great album he still would have had to tour all the time. but since the band is pretty much going nowhere i guess he doesn't have to worry about that.
i still think hes coming as a jerk though. the guys wouldn't let me spend time with my family and stuff like that. yeah people change doesn't mean they "grow up". they way talks about it, it sounds like they never actually sat down and discussed things. and if they did it was probably tom whining the whole time. he always talks about how they are all in their 30s and not in highschool, so i find it extremely hard to believe that the root cause of all this was family issues. i have feeling there is a lot hes leaving out. so apparently tom decides to be mature which is funny considering he was always the most immature person in the band. i just don't understand how he said blink was in the best place they have ever been in, then says actually we were not connecting. yeah we just made our "best" album but we can't stand eachother. then why did mark and travis form +44? oh thats right because they can't stand you tom. so obviously tom was being "the jerk".

I find it weird that a band that's been together as long as they have wouldn't be able to have it out and just talk, no matter how uncomfortable it would be. Got to have some of those Metallica moments from "Some Kind of Monster". =P

i wasnt a huge fan of Metallica until after i saw them, they blew me away.
