I'd be pretty devastated for a while. I'd probably still be listening them to a whole bunch though even after that. Like Nirvana.

I was kinda thinking along that line. That kinda already happened for me (I know they're not gone, but to/for me, it was the end of the Sum 41 era of my life)...

Although, I also think this means something happening to them as in like - they die.

So I guess what I DID do? I was upset. Really upset. Disturbed, even. Disoriented. But in the end I realized that the bands I listen to aren't my life. It's okay to be sad, more than okay. But it's a little much to treat it like a death or loss in your family or the like.

I find it a little odd that people are all "I'd be sad, but I'd get over it quickly"...I hope you just mean the Sum 41 being gone part. If you mean you wouldn't be sad long over one of the guys dying - that's pretty messed up. I would even be pretty upset and disturbed and aching for their family if one of the 3 remaining Sums were to die.
Yeah...i was a bit distressed when Dave left Sum 41, i would be pretty upset if anything happened to any of the Sums, i mean i hate their new music but I still think they're cool and shit.
