i hate french but my school forces me to take it, im repeating now cuz i failed with 50% 
i made my teacher play nofx's cover of champs elesees tho... im gonna try to make her take a break from marching us around the room reciting verbs and trick her into playing ma poubelle 2... see how pissed she gets (she treats us like we're 2 or something)

well about the french... it's cuz in Canada i mean, you got this British Canada and some french part or something, isn't that right?
so that's why i thought that a lot of Canadians know french... plus, i heard its taught there like a second language.

Well, we WERE a British colony, yes.
But there's only one province that speaks french (Quebec)...and even there, I'm fairly certain over half of them speak English pretty fluently as well.
There are border cities and such in provinces outside of Quebec who also speak french, but they also speak english.
They teach it to us...sort of. Just the basics. Some of us could get by in Quebec for a vacation or something, but really? A very, very small percentage of the entire population can speak fluent french.

Quebec is a province in Canada where people mainly speak French and that's where Montreal is.
