A friend and I had a fake celebrity myspace once.
Funny thing about it is - we didn't do much, like, at all, on it. And people still believed it. After about a month, we had over 10 000 friends.
And we didn't reply, or really have anything posted on the page AT ALL.
Then we posted a blog that was like "wtf, you're all idiots, this is a fake, but thanks for the laughs"...and...there's still thousands and thousands of friends, because no one bothered to read the blog.
Moral of the story - it's fun to see if you can trick people, and to see how stupid they are. haha.
