^^ ????????? u didnt kno that stevo and cone were real members of the band??
Yeah, I did. But that butt-munch DJ told Pull_the_Curtis that Deryck is the front man and main member of the band, basically saying that Cone and Stevo are just "window dressings". You know... just some guys in the band that don't really matter. I completely disagree with that line of thought. Stevo is a "founding member" of the band, and Cone's been there almost from the beginning. And since there aren't any real recordings of Sum 41 with the original bassist, I consider Cone a founding/original member of the band too.mattyw_rules wrote:^^ ????????? u didnt kno that stevo and cone were real members of the band??
I do believe that Astronaut was recorded with Twitch.Shawn from Detroit wrote:Yeah, I did. Well, it was released on a local punk tape in early 1997 and Cone didn't join until 1998, so...Shawn from Detroit wrote:"I do believe that Astronaut was recorded with Twitch."
Was it really?! Never knew that, Phili. Now, are you saying you believe because it's a fact? Or are you saying you believe because you're pretty sure he's on it? If nobody knows for sure, I'll ask them at one of the many shows I'll be at in Sept. I never really considered "Astronaught" an official release, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Not challenging you here, just want to have my facts straight.
By the way, Phili... Really appreciate all of the work you do here and at the Sum-Time boards. I'm more of a reader than a poster, but I do keep track of what's going on at both. Thanks!
Cool, thanks for the info Phili!!!Phili wrote:Well, it was released on a local punk tape in early 1997 and Cone didn't join until 1998, so...Shawn from Detroit wrote:"I do believe that Astronaut was recorded with Twitch."

Sorry about the noobish question, but who's Twitch? I heard that he's Richard Roy from the DVD Bring The Noise, is that true? Where does the name Twitch come from?Phili wrote:I do believe that Astronaut was recorded with Twitch.
Thanks. Is it Twitch who is performing in those home videos in ITD?Phili wrote:^Yes, it's true. Twitch was Sum 41's bassist before Cone. They seem to have a knack for giving their bassists odd nicknames.
