But "Ma Poubelle" actually seems to be a pun. It does mean "my garbage can", but it also sounds like "ma plus belle" which means "my cutest (girl)".

Steve doesn't fluently speak French, but he does know some. It's definitely a warped and sexual love song and it was definitely originally written in French.
