I really don't know why they shouldn't use IR for their next album, can someone explain to me ?

In a nutshell, Island treats them like crap. They refuse to fund a lot of what the band wants to do. Sum 41 really just needs a new dedicated label.

That could be a good label. Definitely better for their genre.

Yeah I think it would be the best fit because its obvious that they no longer fit in at IR.

How hard is to change the label, do not let them? IR have a contract? I do not understand why

Well I think you're right then. I've heard in some kind of interview that Baby you don't wanna know and Time for you to go was payd by them... was that because of IR ? I went to IR site now and I've noticed that they're kinda in prominence...

because IR sucks cock and can't do everything world wide on their own, Mercury is responsible for distribution, promotion etc. for the Sums in the UK (and maybe some other parts in the world)

The sales aren't good especially in Canada and in U.S.A. where usually they sold a lot of copies (especially in Canada); personally i don't give a fuck about it because their shows are selling out now, more than ever.
And for who said "no one wants to admit that they're not the same band anymore", everyone knows it: in 2006 someone left the band so how could they be the same? Now they've a new lineup and you can like it or not; i like it.

Now that everything is sorted out with the label shit, we have to remember that KIDS ARE DOWNLOADING SHIT these days instead of going to the stores and buying them. That's probably the reason why the shows are sold out anyway actually.

as long as the kids are still going to the shows in good numbers, I'm sure the band won't care that much. it's hard to get an acurate number of how many people own this album with illegal downloads.

I think SBM was their last album on the current contract. Weather they have signed a new one I don't know. So after the SBM tour they'll be free agents.

King of Contradiction :silly: ?
Someone here on the forum said no one but D really knows, and he said sth like there IS one more EP/LP to do with IR. But I don't want to imagine that if IR continues thinking that Rock is dead. It could end up that the Sums will pay the whole new album to be released, lol
