what songs 2.06 .. sounds good
We've talked a lot about that snippet, it obviously didn't make the record so it's impossible to know what it's called, and even how it sounds like (apart from the snippet) :confusion:

You didn't miss it, it's not a song that has been released, maybe in the future, who knows

There is a reason Sum 41 never released these tracks. I don't believe they ever will release them and frankly, i don't really want them to. Most Sum b-sides are filler songs at best. The Chuck b-sides were mint but so was the entire album. The UH b-sides were bearable at best (as is the album) so forth and so on.

I don't see Deryck as the type of person to not a release a song for a certain reason, then release it later. At least not songs/demos of this nature. Maybe he's holding onto them for other projects, such as a solo career at some point.

i think the b side for this album is better than a few album tracks

B-sides always have some unique thing in them that makes them special, almost like another prospect of the album itself, another perspective.

B-Sides are always epic, so far they have been that.

Some of my favorite songs are b-sides, especially noots and subject to change!

Noots is awesome. Song that got me into Sum 41, 7 years ago.

B-side album would kick ass.
I spoke with Ptido from Sum 41 France, and we were talking about the working titles from Chuck and UH eras. And we came across with some titles that we didn't find any connection with final titles.

Priddle (Ptido was suspecting Angels With Dirty Faces, but not sure)
Sister Act
Make Me Forever
No Control (I thought it could be Subject To Change, maybe)
All Night Nippon
Declaration Of Independence

Source? Rock Mag issue from 2004 and the site where the song copyrights are listed (there was a thread about that 1-2 years ago, don't remember the name of that site).

So my point, there are quite many songs that weren't released anywhere.

Well, I agree about the fact that Deryck won't be the kind of person to just not release a song as a bside now and keep for later, and that most of Sum 41's bsides aren't good (well, Chuck's very good, UH's were boring) but Always for example was from UH sessions if i'm not wrong and they just kept it around and released it a year later with the Best of, plus Stevo said about SBM that they had more than enough songs for this record and it's good and they gonna keep some stuff for compilations, soundtracks, etc. I remember one interview where he said it, so I expect to hear some new Sum 41 song in some game or movie soundtrack this year.

That what was with Chuck bsides basically. Noots was released on the Fantastic Four soundtrack, and Moron was used for the Rock Against Bush compilation. So we might hear some new stuff soon I hope!

Can they release them once they'll get rid of IR?

Always was written and recorded way after UH sessions. I remember Deryck saying it was mainly written on the road on UH tour and after, and they recorded it in only few months before the Best Of release in Deryck's home studio.

Really? I was pretty positive about it being a leftover from UH that they decided to keep.

I agree with Tomi. That's how I remember it too. I'm disappointed Philip !1!

Yeah I remember that Always was recorded later.

And about the other songs, I went to a website some months ago which listed some songs with their copyright, might be the same as you Tomi, and there were indeed some songs I'm sure we'll never have the chance to hear... :(
