Yeah, they may be a bit different from the rest of the album, but I still think they're both awesome songs and I'm glad that they're in it, rather then released as b-sides.
Yeah i had the same thought when I first heard them as well. Very enjoyable songs and I like their rocknroll vibe. I could see either of them becoming singles. They're almost perfect for the radio.

I dont particularly like these songs because they dont seem to fit even with the sums usual style, even with all diverse tracks on SBM. it sounds like something foxboro hot tubs (green day) would record...
it defo breaks up the flow for me.

To me, Exit song is the track that feels out of place.

I think they're bright spots of the album which is a good thing, album shouldn't sound the same all the way through. They break angry/sad mood of the record.

I really don't find it interrupting or anything. And... I really love Baby I Don't Wanna Know.

I'd say they are intentionally out of place. The album would be unbelievably dark without them.

for sure, especially with back where i belong fading back into reason to believe kinda.
i think back where i belong would have ended the record great.

I gotta say that "Baby you don't wanna know" is the song that doesn't make me feel like I'm hearing to Sum 41... But in fact, I like pretty much "Time for you to go" because it has style :devious: hahahaha :)

Anyway, SUM 41 !!!!!

Does anyone agree with me by saying that "The Jester" would fit soooooo much better in this album than "Baby you don't wanna know" ? That's just my opinion...

Baby You Don't Know is gonna sound great live, probably a lot better than any of other song on SBM.

i have not read any posts in this topic, but does this thread really need to have such a long name? i mean, adding "The official" makes it sound like its a big deal...

Maybe, but I think always would fit even so much better. And that's strange because obviously, they couldn't have put The Jester in SBM, but they could have put always.

I realized that. The drum part at the end of Back where I belong and the intro drums to reason to believe are similar. I'd like to hear them together

They feel a bit out of place, but it's nice that they have two songs in the same sort of garage-rock, rock & roll style. Had they only had one of these songs, it'd probably stand out a lot more and not quite fit in. But they are spaced out on the album quite evenly, much like the ballads.

I like the style anyway, like The Hives, The Vines, Von Bondies... etc. Plus it's Sum 41 doing something new again, so +1 for that!

Time for You to go and Baby You Don't Wanna Know sound like The Operation M.D. imo
