Couldn't resist to listen, but just only once. Sounds really promising! I like Jessica Kill, Holy Image of Lies and Sick of Every one the most. 30 second previews don't say that much though..

ok, my impressions based on the preview, if no one minds;

reason to believe is not what i expected. i was kind of hoping/expecting for something faster, but then again this preview only is the chorus, which the lines have been repeated too.
the preview of screaming bloody murder is a good 30 second sample to get the attention of anyone who hasn't heard the song yet.
skumfuk's new intro sounds like it will have lyrics besides the "ohh" stuff. i'm also getting used to the transition between the new intro and the actual song.
time for you to go sounds really cool and i'm excited for the whole song. i was very surprised with how it sounds.
jessica kill really sounds aggressive, and i love both the verse and chorus. the chorus has a lot of 'does this look infected' style in it.
what am i to say sounds like those louder slower songs. it reminds me of with me and some say more than it reminds me of pieces or best of me.
holy image of lies actually contains the lyric 'crash' so i can see how it can be mislabeled. sounds like it would be dynamic, so the 30 second preview might not be a good representation of it
sick of everyone sounds like it only has the pre-chorus and chorus. i can hear piano in the chorus a little (before he says 'i've become so sick of everyone now' like the intro of skumfuk. since there's no verse in this preview (i think) it's hard to judge.
happiness machine sounds so different. i can see how someone compared it to muse, but i think that's the sound deryck makes when he sings high notes makes him sound like that, which i kind of like because it's a change in style and a good one at that. it's not as aggressive like a lot of the songs here, but since it is nearly a five minute song, that aggression could be somewhere within the song.
crash is a much slower song than the last slow song, i think the whole song might move me more than this preview. also i know deryck said that people will think it's about the divorce, but it really isn't. i think that if it takes so long to write a song like that, especially since he said he wrote it before the divorce, he will eventually find ways to work elements of his divorce into songs, and possibly use the car crash as a metaphor or something
for someone who hasn't listened to blood in my eyes, this preview doesn't even have the aggressive riff in the intro, so i also think this was a bad 30 seconds to pick as a preview.
baby you don't wanna know sounds pretty cool, a lot different than i expected too, i actually thought it was going to be slower, but this one's kinda catchy.
back where i belong really sounds like a good final track to the album. i think we only hear the beginning of the chorus but it sounds direct and probably will be a chorus everyone will love.
exit song really does sound like the 'look at me' of the album, so i hope there isn't any gap of silence between this and the last. personally i didn't like look at me so much, so my opinion on this song would be biased too.


when the album leaks, i might make a review too, but i can say i'm really excited for this album more than before i heard the previews. i don't know which are my favorites right now because 30 second previews lack the other 80-90% of the song.

Yeah, Skumfuk's intro seems weird. Maybe thats because I'm so used to hearing the song as it is now with the drum intro etc.

I can tell I'm really going to like this album. I can also understand how some reviewers etc had to remind themselves its Sum 41, because some of these 30 sec previews don't sound like them (even thought I know they are).

EDIT/ I was fucking close to listening to them, but I didn't. I'm proud of myself. I only listened to Skumfuk, to hear how it sounds as a finished song. I liked the 'oohhooo'-part, but not the part where the orignal intro kicks in.

Don't do it, if I may give you some advice.

For me, personally, it ruins the whole experience of hearing the complete song.

I felt like I can't resist so I listened to Happiness Machines. Whoah. I was afraid this isn't gonna be as melodic album as sums said after 3 full songs we've heard. But hell, this is awesome. That's it, no more previews

I also only listened to the Skumfuk intro,and I hate to say it,but for the first listen I found it really shitty ...

Just listen to a preview that you're not interested by the title or what you've heard. I did that. I wasn't that excited about "Happiness Machines" but now I can't wait to hear it fully.

I like the intro actually, but I think it will take some time to get used to the transition between the 'new' and the 'old' skumfuk !

I think it's going to be very good album, but those previews weren't very good, nice to finally hear something but i think the selected bits of songs weren't the best, but can't wait to hear tracks in full in all their glory !

I reckon album will blow me away when I hear it properly, some interesting new sounds there though
