In my opinion, those were the best kind of Sum 41 songs. They had great riffs, they were edgy and they had attitude.

I'm actually in the middle of writing a new EP that we want to put out early next year.
It's a lot heavier but still different than anything we've ever done. It's pretty cool.

Great job! It's funny how repetative the descriptions get just reading them. Imagine how annoying it must be for them, getting the same questions and having to say the exact same thing over and over again.

reading all that, i do remember when deryck promised/wanted to release a song way back when the release was going to be an ep. he said something that the label wouldn't approve because of the lyrical content. do you think it's being released now in screaming bloody murder?

also interesting that 'always' was going to be part of the ep. if that's the case, i would actually consider it a b-side to this album too, and i might attach it to the end of the album if the sounds match.

I think Deryck has been asked about that song he wanted to release a while ago and I believe he said he doesn't even remember which particular it song was or what it was even about.
