Coldplay can Fuck Right Off

I never paid that much attention to them..

I actually like a couple of their songs, but most of it is boring drivel. I hate U2 more. Chris Martin can fuck off though.

Why? They are hugely popular, they make good melodic pop music, had lots of international hits and they fill stadiums. Name a similarily successful band which fits that description better than Coldplay. May be U2, but I would say they are beyond 'our' generation.

Coldplay sucks. Overrated britpop fags.

They are slightly overrated like most pop bands, yes, but they sure know how to write great songs and how to deliver an amazing live performance. I would see them live actually if the tickets wouldn't cost a damn fortune, which is the unfortunate results of them being overrated..
If you seriously think they suck, then you're either willfully ignorant to seem tough and rebellious or you just don't know shit about good music. This has nothing to do with taste, it's just recognition of good art. For example, I don't enjoy listening to The Beatles that much either, but I would never say they suck, because I know they don't. I hate when people like/dislike bands or artists just for their status in our society and not for their actual music...

@Boni Boy Blue: I didn't take any rock bands into account, because my point was concerning Coldplay and The Beatles, who are both not exactly heavy, wouldn't you agree? Another possible match could be Oasis, but I'm not sure if they were ever as big as Coldplay.

I think I've got a quite good taste. I listen to a lot of bands from various genres.

Lol, I don't want to seem tough or rebellious. I just can't stand Coldplay and it's because of the music they make. I've always hated britpop bands.

There are some bands that I don't like but I admit that they're good (either because they're unique or highly influental), Coldplay isn't one of them.

That explained exactly nothing, but at the same time it explained everything. You obviously want to hate them for no good reason except that you've always hated britpop fags - totally reasonable. But who am I kidding.. when I was 15, I was exactly the same. You will grow out of it sooner or later.

Britpop died in like 1999.

Britpop wouldn't even cross my head when I think about Coldplay.

I just wonder about them ...cause my friend sent me one song to listen to by Coldplay ...and the lyrics were actually pretty cool ..and song was alright too...

I don't think I'll ever like Coldplay. I tried to get into this kind of music a few months ago, I tried bands like Oasis, Blur, Radiohead, U2, Coldplay, etc., but bands like this can't keep me interested. I think time won't change it.

Oasis is a good band ...I started to listen to them because I liked the Sum 41 cover of their song ...and If they are britpop then I listen to britpop :D

I don't think Radiohed has something to do with pop ...their music does not sound popular to me ...it sounds kinda weird but I like it a lot ..

What does that have to do with them not being a good band? You are talking taste/interest again and that's not the point. I'm not saying you will start liking them, I'm saying (hopefully) you will start appreciating good music no matter if they fall into your range of interest at the time or not.
