I'm bored with a lot of it, but i still love to listen and once in a while i get that amazed feel.

Now I look at all their music, UH is the worst for me. Too bubble-gum-sour-pop. while there are some bright spots in the album, i cant stand listening to it much. All in all, i can honestly say i DON'T like Underclass Hero.
I had a period where I felt like that back in 2006 [pre-Underclass!] but that was just because was going through a really Metal phase. Today, my taste in music is great. I've let go of all that lame "Pop sucks!" and "PeopIe I hate listen to that so I'm not going to listen to it" bullshit. I love so much different shit (Rock/Metal/Punk/Hardcore stuff is still my favourite), Sum 41 being part of the top of the heap. The only thing I don't like that Sum 41 have done is 'Dear Father' and a couple of the UH b-sides.

I don't what I'm trying to say here...

Amazing music = life

Sum 41 = amazing music

Uh would have been better without "Dear Father." The only song that sucked off UH.

EDIT: Yeah, 3 years.. Long time. Funny thing is, they released 4 albums in 4 years. But if you look at it today, they've only released 6 albums in 10 years. Which you'd come to expect after a while.

Yeah, Green Day popped out 5 records 1990-97 and only 3 in the 13 years after that.

That's why it were b-sides... probably.

I don't agree with this, but they were the right songs to be left out. They could've been nice additions, but there's no song in the album to be replaced by one of the b-sides.

And I'm pretty sure Deryck knew long enough which songs are going to make it in the album. Not sure about TALAY, but No Apologies and This Is Goodbye were mixed by Deryck only (unlike the rest of the album, mixed by Chris Lord-Alge), so the B-sides didn't deserve the final touch at all.

Also, I think No Apologies was too similar to Underclass Hero the song lyric-wise. Both songs have this "we're doing fine" attitude, so it wouldn't make sense to have two songs with the same message.

When I first heard the album No Apologies was my favourite song I hadn't heard before.

No Apologies had a nice melody for the verses, but Tomi's right in that it was too similar to Underclass Hero in terms of theme and even the little solo share a similar part.

Sorry but a newbie doing this isn't seen to be good but...

This is the worst album they have done, i'd prefer Chuck Remixed to be honest with you.

^ actually I think the album would sound better if it had a heavier production sound, I always thought it was a tad weak, can't hear the double bass all that well.

I found this while looking to see if I made it on anyone else's Animethon videos on YouTube. Listen up to the first verse. I don't think I'll listen to Underclass Hero the same way again!
That might explain why I couldn't like Underclass Hero because this song's melody was subconsciously in my head! I used to watch Beyblade on an off and on basis when I was 12 and they always played this song.

Success leads to things like that. When you are successful, your label wants you to tour like crazy on your latest single, until you absolutely have to move on to another single, or another album. Adding tours overseas really adds to that, too. Plus, with the success Sum 41 has gotten by now, they no longer have to tour religiously. They can take time off and focus on life... Same goes to Green Day, especially.
