Why is it that I can never seem to care about joining any Green Day discussion (I don't consider this joining), not even when people compare them with Sum 41 as if they were the same band in a parallel universe where everything is the same but better.
Never mind, why did I even waste time writing this, lol.

yeah. it sounds like its not gonna be a concept album or at least I hope it isn't. I loved American Idiot and 21st Century wasn't all too bad but your songs are so less creative when it's telling a story. you can't just stop in the middle of a concept album and stick a song like Longview in there and that's what their last album was missing. Something fun, different, and normal.

To me a large piece of 21CB was a reissue of old Warning songs that didn't get the attention when they were released originally.

It really looks like he doesn't drink much now days, takes maybe a few beer. When they were in Finland he said that he doesn't just wanna be drunk in hotel room when they have day off, he wants to work. They were 3 days in Helsinki and spend 2 days is studio. He has also quit drugs, expect pot but I wouldn't really call it drug.
Before 21st CB came out they were playing show in Oakland, where they live and he said something like "fuck it we're gonna play all night long, you kids can't even go to school tomorrow... except you Joseph Armstrong"

But i didn't know he's still a frequent pot smoker..

These songs are not bad. But I don't really like the new Green Day. American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown were just OK.

Seems like all the songs are written & demoed and now Green Day is looking for producer. Things are happening fast!

these seem pretty cool.
is there much hate for green day on this forum? the other forum i'm on there is.
but UH seems pretty influenced by green day so i hope people on here don't hate green day

It's kind of half and half. Though, I don't think there's an actual "hate" rather, people just don't care that much for the band.
Though, some of my discontent for Underclass Hero stems from the influence of Green Day.

sorry for bring back this topic. those songs were good. and to comment on someones post on here. Blink 182 is TERRRIBLE with updates.
