So much editing that it's hard to keep track on what you said originally. :devious:
But yeah, I didn't even try to figure out what that wink face meant, so just like Jake said:

Lars wrote:Well, not finishing the album in time is quite shitty for the fans.

Than they shoudln't have confirmed the shows either, imo.

I personally also think the album could have been done by now, but due some other *hmm* factors, they didn't and they just bummed thousands of fans.

I feel sorry for the ones who bought a ticket.
Well, it was already meant to be released in March 2009 as an EP, so delaying the album by few months wouldn't change anything for me. It's cool to have something to wait for.

But yeah, they should've known better about their schedule. They shouldn't book the dates in the first place, since they were already in a hurry.

Yeah, that's my point.

The EP was -indeed- set for Spring '09, but after saying that they'd make an album Deryck stated "It was safe to say it would be out in 2009". We're half 2010, so I get your point completely. But cancelling your tour, because you're not getting done in time is pretty.. I don't know.. It sucks, you know.

Like I said, they could have easily been done by now, and maybe(!) if they didn't party every time? I don't know, it could be one of those things that influenced this decision.

But, I think the label has already set a release date. Just like Blink 182 had with their last record. They had an extreme last possible date when they had to turn in their copy of the album, you know what I'm talking about? Well, I guess the same thing is happening to Sum 41 right now as well.

The label has set a release date, and they need the final copy of the record to get it manufractured and printed before some particular date.
At least, that's my theory.

if you're right than I hope that Tom Delonge's revolution in realeasing records without labels will be successful :confusion:

im talking about the biggest single show they've ever played. warped tour is an entire tour so its not really the same. and the most people that have gone to reading is like 70,000. while the most at rock in rio lisboa was 350,000 and the most at Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park combined was over 150,000. So if your judging by numbers than those shows would have been the biggest of their careers.

I'd just like to know if the shows will be canceled or rescheduled ...I think that rescheduling wouldn't be too much good...

so that means that we will let our money where they are and just go another date ?? cause it'not very good ...the date doesn't have to be suitable ...

It is understood that drummer Steve Jocz broke his arm in a car accident.

Wouldn't it be badass if this was a record company conspiracy? A devious car assault on the band's drummer to force them into canceling the tour so the songwriter can finish the album in time since all the drums are done.
