LOL.. check out the crazy bassdrum microphone! I've seen that in action once when I was studying audio engineering. It's basically a big speaker (like a subwoofer) in a drum which is used invertedly to record the holy-shit-is-that-an-earthquake?-frequencies of the bassdrum haha..
You can actually feel the difference when you compare it to a regular bassdrum mic only.

Great pictures, I like what I see. This is gonna be one hell of an album, no EP would get a pre-pro like that.

He already said Sum 41 is his main focus at all times, why would he quit? They wouldn't be mocking him that much if that was likely to happen in any way. Bass players have had to take much more than him and still lived. He is pretty relaxed about it, you know that. He enjoys hanging out with them way too much to even consider quitting is my guess.
Besides, his fight for the right of co-determination is really spicing up the entertainment factor of the band, imo.

I don't think Cone would quit either since he doesn't really have anything else to fall back on. The Operation MD isn't big enough for him to make his full-time commitment.

Cone quiting the band has also been in my mind.

I dunno..he doesn't look verry happy, but not unhappy.

And when he said '..and then we go back to Derycks original idea.' I think he meant it. But on the other side he has OpMD to get his ideas out there.
