Stooges should definitely be inducted. I mean, they have been nominated already like 5 times and losing each time... now with guitarist Ron Asheton dying in the beggining of this year, they deserve to be remembered more than ever, even if they are continuing with Raw Power era guitarist James Williamson now. Kiss deserve to be there too, and I think they are as good as ever even without make up. The make up was the gimmick and promotion, but you don't get Hall of Fame nominations for gimmicks and promotion.

Strangely enough, I just checked it out, and it seems his first single, entitled I Need a Beat which was featured on his first album in 1985, was actually released as a stand-alone in 1984, which makes him qualified for induction... sucks.
