This reminds me of a case at hockey forums I go to.
One guy had pretended/lied/faked his personality, identity and background.
Then he got tired of lying, and decided to start from scratch, create a new account being real himself.
To do so, he posted a long suicide note, and then left.
Well, that hockey forum was quite a big community, with more than 15,000 members. Most of them were from Canada, just like the fake guy. And the community was so tight, so after the suicide note was posted, the members from same area started to act. Police was included and everything, so it didn't take long to find out the guy was a total fake. And needless to say, the fake guy wasn't welcome anymore, even with a new account.
But yeah, I just can't understand why someone would fake his personality, identity or backgrounds.
If you're an old man, like a band with teenage-fanbase, so fucking what? No one cares!
But that you fake your age to be a teenager, and then photoshop yourself, that's just pathetic.
