In America, the people privileged enough to afford a private insurer think it's the best thing in the world. If we adopt a public option, many think it would run the private insurers out of business and we would only be left with government run health care. A lot of Americans don't trust the government and a vast amount are misinformed and think public health care would be costlier in the long run and wait times would be unbearable. If we only had universal health care, it would actually be cheaper, and every American would get the care they deserve. Our current health care actually has a lower approval rate than most countries with government run health care...

That was actually a good argument for public healthcare compared to all the other people who only says that Obama sucks.

that and the fact that some people associate universla health care = communism (that's what i've seen on the net at least),
we have public health care but we also have private health care (if you can afford it of course ) for example cancer can be treated for free (or most of them) and lactose-free milk for babies which according to my cousin is around 40 euros each can and my nephew used to drank 1 in 2 days ..do the maths also a few years ago my grandma had herpes (can't say which kind in english sorry but the doc said it was one of the worst) and she had the treatment for free ,it'd have costed around 700 euros, universla health care has its cons though .... huge list of patients before you
# average spanish salary is 20.438 euros per year

I'm not for Bush either. Lol
But I do hate Obama. McCain would have been better.

I'm not an economic expert so I don't know. But what I'm not going to do is throw out some random number because no one really knows for sure how much the cost will be yet.

You're a dumb fuckin kid!... Bush is the reason the economy's fucked and we're at war! He screwed this country harder than Tommy Lee screwed Paris Hilton! What a joke.

Bush was the worst president ever. He started a war based on misunderstanding and he fucked the worlds economy.
