deryck records demos in his _home_ studio, those 18 songs are recorded at "record company" studio. So they arent demoz

That's true. Why would Sum 41 be at a professional studio recording demos?

But if they have 18 songs recorded (on drums/bass), why haven't they brought in a producer by now?

I don't even know what's going on anymore.

Yeah I gotta say thats very weird.. Maybe the fact is that deryck is producing again, they just wanna get our hopes up saying that they're looking for producer! ;( Haha, I really have no idea.

I think Deryck is gonna produce this one again. Didn't he say he's producing the EP back when it was just a small little spring 2009 EP?
I think he wanna prove us all he's a good guitarist and good producer and tries to make up for UH with this hopefully-Chuck-like album.

So you opinion is that they hire producer just for mixing? Well.. yeah
They hire producer for picking songs for album and helping mixing it, yeah

Like 3-4 months?

A year and a half if you want to use the B-Side as an example.
