I always felt this album would come out during the fall months. It just seems like that kind of album with all the darkness it's apparently going to have as opposed to the happiness that Underclass Hero did. That was more a summer album for sure.

I doubt that was intentional, but I agree it does make somewhat more sense.

I know they probably don't intend to release their albums according to what season they probably go best with (although with Underclass Hero, Deryck once said the sound was somewhat inspired from waking up every day to sunny California weather, so the July release was really appropriate). With this record, Deryck mentioned that the music would be like if Sweeney Todd were to make an album and it seems appropriate to release the album sometime in October, close to Halloween.
For some reason it feels like Deryck's got a Tim Burton edge to him. The black, frizzy (as opposed to the sharp form of his blonde hair in Underclass Hero), spiky hair reminds me of Sweeney Todd and
Tim Burton too. I get this feeling that Tim Burton's work (ie. Alice in Wonderland) could have an effect on Deryck's writing, much like his wedding (where I assume it was Deryck's first time going to Church) probably effected Underclass Hero with all the religion stuff.
Why do I make these observations you may ask? Well, that's what happens when I end up waiting long periods of time for an album. I also have 8000+ posts and don't do much else with my life besides boozing with friends, guitar, work and videogames.
EDIT: I see that the Loveline interview is on iTunes Podcasts for free. So I guess whoever missed it can download it. I probably won't but I thought I'd let you guys know.

Did anyone notice at 35 seconds in the lassie doing the interview said "It's called Screaming Bloody..." before being cut off.

More like Nightmare Before Christmas.

Yep she definitely said at the end: "It's called Screaming Bloody Murder". She probably had to edit that out for embargo reasons and ended up doing a bad job at it.

Yeah, I think now we knows for 100% the title will be .. Screaming Bloody Murder. Just waiting for the band to announce it and all.. officialy, although I think its pretty obvious this is the title.

the more i think about it the shitter and more cliche it sounds. and they're going to have to have some fucked up songs for that title to actually work

same here. I hated it when I first heard it but it has since grown on me so much I would've been dissappointed if it wasn't the title.

the title sounds amazing, i never hated it. It sounds "mature" if you understand what I mean. And it sounds epic, it sounds as if the album could be one of THOSE rock albums that inspire a generation of new musicians. Like in 20 years from now artists will say "the albums that got me wanting to be a musician were, Ride The Lightening, Sgt.Peppers, Slow Train Coming andScreaming Bloody Murder"
I might be expecting too much but, i want Sum 41 to have the fame of someone like Cold Play or Radiohead, all though... I'm pretty sure its too late for that. :(
