Re: Blink 182 Discussion Thread
I thought Angles and Airwaves first two albums were solid, and I love them both. When LOVE came out i was really let down. It had it's moments but was a much weaker album than the first two and felt like it was a lot more repetitious and I actually recognized some melodies pulled right from other old Angels songs. I hope the new part will be better, but i can't tell from the previews. I will say i really like Anxiety though!

I like the samples, a lot actually. I'm going to pre order it, but not the box set, too much money for that.

Re: Blink 182 Discussion Thread
We Don't Need to Whisper is the only AvA album that I have, and still do listen to beginning to end on occasion. I didn't like it when it first came out, but for some reason after getting into Box Car Racer, the AvA songs seemed easier to enjoy.pescidavid wrote:I thought Angles and Airwaves first two albums were solid, and I love them both. I already listened First illegal download I have done in years, I feel bad. And it wasn't even a great album.FuckT41182 wrote:Love pt.2 leaked, how come nobody noticed ? or nobody gives half a fuck ? XD
Every song except the last one was pretty bad. That guitar solo at the end is probably the best thing AVA has done., I actually felt the emotion that Tom has been saying AVA Is all about for years.

Check out the last song, avoid the vocals if you want, skip to like 2:20. Blast it loud if possibleFuckT41182 wrote:I listened to the first song and turned it off, probably won't give it a listen ...

Re: Blink 182 Discussion Thread
Haven't seen this before. Thanks for posting! I think Gerard did alright actually. I would of been slightly disappointed if I were at the show only because I'd want to hear the song performed the way it should of been - with Tom's vocals but I mean, at least they were able to still play and still had fun with it.UltraKolby wrote:Not sure if anyone already posted this, so here it is

Haha, so AvA gets worse and worse. Though really, I think you could only take a band like that so far until it starts feeling like the same thing over and over again.

Re: Blink 182 Discussion Thread
that's because Tom is all obsessed with stadium rock, I kinda hate his new opinions, I've read an interview where he stated that punk rock is for teenage kids to help them through growing up ...Jeremy Kill wrote:Haha, so AvA gets worse and worse. Though really, I think you could only take a band like that so far until it starts feeling like the same thing over and over again.
for example, Holiday in Cambodia by The Dead Kennedys relates to almost each and every one of the common teenage problems ... he just thinks that now that he's grown up meeting God and being his new Jesus it is impossible and childish to listen to punk rock music ...
I used to prefer Tom over Mark in the past, now Mark > Tom big time, I'm actually pretty tired of Tom's bullshit ...

Re: Blink 182 Discussion Thread
I'm about half way through it and I'm am again dissapointed. Very Blah, and again i immediately recognize his constant reuse of old hooks. I really wanted to like this album but I'm pretty bumbed. Tom needs to drop Angels. There was a point when i liked angels even better than blink but now i think he's being limited more by Angels than he ever "thought" he was by blink. I'll post again once i've finished it.

I haven't listened to it, by what people are saying on here about it, I'm debating buying it now. And I do support anything Mark, Tom, or Travis do.
