What's the average cost per year at a university in Europe, or even Canada? I'm curious how it compares to the US. The costs here are astronomically high and really just fucking ridiculous.

It's different all over. In Scotland it's free (except for English students), and in England it can be anywhere between £3,000 and £9,000. The University I'm going to next year is costing my £9,000 + accommodation which is about £4,500 (about as cheap as it gets in London).

It's something like 12,500 for non-EU people too.

21 months in Canada (for me) has cost me about 30,000 dollars plus about 700 per month for rent, food, gas and extra stuff.
that comes to 44,700. (36,000 Euro and 28,500 Pounds).

I did get approximately 10,000 dollars from bursaries, and education funds that i don't have to pay back. Government loans covered most of the rest, but i have to pay that back. In Canada you can actually apply for two loans; Provincial and Federal student loans.

But im going to a Tech school for Audio engineering and while it seems expensive, it is the cheapest in Western Canada for the type of facilities the school has. The regular universities can cost any where from 4,000 to 11,000 dollars per year. go for four years and its pretty much the same as what i am paying for less than two years.

I pay about €1900 per year + €900 for the books.
I do get 2 to €300 per month in educations funds, which I only have to pay back if I don't graduate within 5 years.
I could also get a student loan, but why would I do that..

Right after I graduate and get my BBA degree I'm gonna try to get my Master degree in HRM, which will cost me about €22.000 for 2 years.

I'm pretty sure the University in my town has the lowest tuition rates in all of Canada. But holy fuck education is expensive.

I need to go to Finland then, lol.. . Seems like universities here are just after fucking money and the classes are just an excuse to rape your wallet.. My loans just for this year are like $20,000 (~£16.000).. which is considered cheap since I already lived in the same state as the school.. It's just so depressing

The whole University thing in the UK is stupid, they're putting too many people through who are doing stupid pointless degrees, which screwed the student grant system so now I can't afford to go even if I wanted to. The rise of the cats can't come soon enough.

Everyone in the UK can afford uni. The grant/loans are all you need. I do not understand how anyone can simply not afford it.

Yes, but I would have to pay the loan back which requires money, and unless you get a very high paying job then it isn't too much fun. At the present, unless you have a definite career plan then just getting a job, having no uni debt and not spending exuberantly is a good idea (for me anyways) then when I gather enough dosh, I shall see the world and all that.
