probably to seem more original, looks much better. did you drop the black one or something? looks pretty beat up.
Yeah I banged it against the coffee table by accident one time last year and it took out a big chunk. It looked really ugly with a random piece missing so I decided to give it that worn-out, relic look to balance things out. In a way it's good because I can man-handle it now without having to worry about scratches, smudges or anything like that.kevin5064 wrote:probably to seem more original, looks much better. did you drop the black one or something? looks pretty beat up.
Oh, I just Photoshopped that one to see what it would look like, haha.Hentaiman wrote:Wait a sec, isn't the white is the Deryck sig Squier? how you took off the X's off that one? I thought it comes with those.
Whoa those don't look half bad without the x'sJeremy Kill wrote:Guitars:
No more X's.
Well it's suppose to be Deryck's signature guitar, his own custom designJeremy Kill wrote:Yeah, they should've sent the X's in separately with the guitar, like the kit that came with the first 1000 models of the Joe Strummer Signature Telecaster so people didn't have to be forced to have X's on the guitar.
I have seen a lot of people say they would get the guitar if it didn't have the X's.
Yeah, that's true, I don't mind the X's to be honest. It adds some color/decoration.turtlehobopirate wrote:Well it's suppose to be Deryck's signature guitar, his own custom designJeremy Kill wrote:Yeah, they should've sent the X's in separately with the guitar, like the kit that came with the first 1000 models of the Joe Strummer Signature Telecaster so people didn't have to be forced to have X's on the guitar.

So does stickers that actually looks cooler than two taped X's.Jeremy Kill wrote:Yeah, that's true, I don't mind the X's to be honest. I don't know, it depends. The decal on the signature is already straight and you don't have to worry about anyone taking it off. As for the tape, it's harder to put on if you don't want an ugly lob-sided X on the body, but it's just more natural and the tape will probably age with the guitar if you want to keep it on that long.Emil wrote:So does stickers that actually looks cooler than two taped X's.Jeremy Kill wrote:Yeah, that's true, I don't mind the X's to be honest. I know that, I actually taped two X's on my Strat and then I removed them because It didn't looked as cool as I thought it would. Then when I removed them tou could still see the X's on it.Jeremy Kill wrote:The problem with the tape is that if you take it off after having it on for so long, you're going to have an outline of an X, especially in the area closest to the neck strap pin because there will be a spot that hasn't been marked up with scratches.
