They were recording demos. Now they started the actual album recordings.

Wondering if Jason White will have any input in the recording process, or if he's only there for jamming, just like Tom for Sums. Afterall he's been with them for 13 years already.

What kind of album is this going to be? I remember them saying it was going to be a more rock & roll type of sound or that the new songs that they were playing live sounded like that. Is it going to be another concept album? I kind of hope not.

No, Billie Joe said he wants to make it completely different from AI & 21CB. It's gonna have a lot more of a rock n' roll vibe, along the lines of their 90s stuff, crossed with a bit of Foxboro Hottubs. Though from what we've heard so far, I can kinda hear a tiny bit of 21CB poking through, but nothing substantial or easily noticeable. GD have effectively jumped off the political bandwagon and taken a few steps backwards.

^ Haha, that's spot on. I don't think he wears eyeliner that much anymore, but I haven't really paid attention to the band since the eve of the release of 21st Century Breakdown.

These guys bring always something unique. This time, they are making a trilogy of albums.

Yeah Buddy!

Every Green Day fan woke up and jizzed their pants repeatedly today. Fucking hell dudes...so much good music to come this year. LP, Muse, Billy Talent, Yellowcard, THREE FUCKING GD albums (well close enough to all this year)...dude. And I'm probably forgetting many other bands.

When I saw BJ's tweet yesterday I thought he was kidding, but when GDA confirmed it I started to realize... It's gonna be awesome, I'm pretty sure I won't be disappointed !
