I didn't really care about it before but now it's come under this torrent of abuse, I feel more emotionally attached to it

Today I had to do a presentation on two books (The Great Gatsby and Heart of Darkness) summarizing them and then saying what links them and stuff, then I had to take questions from the class and the teacher, I have read neither of these books and just said things like I knew what I was talking about and hoped for the best I am just too good
