You can't keep a forum alive by the quantity of topics alone, especially if they're birthday topics. You can make hundreds of topics based on anything, but if that topic provides no legitimate discussion, the forum doesn't go anywhere.

A topic where every member says, "Happy Birthday" doesn't do the forum much good because a day or two later, that topic is useless.

But if you make a topic where you can actually discuss things and have constructive debates or something, then that's how a forum stays alive. It's because people will have things to say instead of just "Happy Birthday" or "Welcome to TNS" or "Thanks!"

Basically what I'm saying is, if you want to keep the forum alive, you need topics where you can discuss things. It's the whole notion of quality versus quantity.

Well, saying "But I'm going to make it anyway. I don't care what rule/topic you guys put into place" after we have tried explaining to you why it isn't needed just seems so ignorant. You can't expect to be taken seriously if you're being like that.

I'm not saying your warnings and being banned were solely based on what was underlined, I'm just saying that we're trying to keep this forum the way it is supposed to be run but you're antagonizing that by disregarding the rule.

I don't see why this is such a big problem. If Peter wants to have a birthday topic for every member, then let him do it. It's not gonna kill anyone. We have like 25-30 active members at most so having tons of birthday topics wouldn't really be a concern.
