I think that might be where the problem is. too much effort was on lyrics instead of music, instead of both. now the music is good, and fits the mood of his lyrics. it's just alot of the same though

Lyrics didn't improve, Chuck had much deeper lyrics then UH. But UH still had good lyrics.

Yeah they were. Not as good Chuck's lyrics though. OPnce again, I'll go back to AKNF. Those songs had better drum patterns and fills and it wasn't a heavy album.

I do actually like chuck's lyrics better as well. Because I'm a Christian, and to be honest some of the lyrics from underclass hero made it hard for me to enjoy (there is no god that can save as all ect.) but they both have alot of good songs as far as lyrics go.

Well, to be fair, I don't think Deryck meant there's no God I think he meant that humanity is too far gone for God to save us. That's what it sounds like to me anyways.

^^ I think you're right. "There is no God" - ok... "There is no God, that can save us now" - what he said.

Not to start a religion debate, but most religions believe their god IS strong enough to save us all. Saying he's not might as well be saying he's not real.

Maybe not so much CANNOT save us all so much as no point in saving us all if we all continue to live our lives likes this. Or maybe he means the whole world cannot agree on one God that could save us all because everyone is so divided by religion. This topic has evolved alot lol.

Yeah, I guess what I meant was that they were less repetitive, but there were lots of religious references between songs and lots of that "empty street" stuff.

I don't know, I just like how there was only one "blame" and no "fakes" on the whole album.

haha, yeah, cuz there were lots of "blame" and "fakes" in Chuck, not that there it was bad, but it seemed kinda repetitive.

I think the most repetitive thing about all the sum 41 lyrics are the "tion" words. confusion, motivation ect. it's just countless amounts of "tion"
