There were only two acoustic songs on that album... -.-
With all honesty- I think the smart thing to do would be do listen to an album before deciphering what you think of things  and peoples opinions and thoughts.

Think about it. :winkwink:
It's the album I listen to most after SBM and American Idiot. It's not an acoustic album. This is a fact; not open to to opinion.
Tell me- what instrument is being played for the majority of the album?
ACOUSTIC GUITAR noob!...I know that some (most) songs get heavy near the end. But it's still a really chill sound and mood throughout the album.
There are only 4 songs which even feature an acoustic. By that logic, 21st Century Breakdown, Jimmy Eat World, All the Right Reasons, Brand New Eyes, and Wheatus are all also acoustic albums.

i actually think they go for the ''baby you dont wanna know'' style on the next record.

deryck is really grown up now with the ''jack daniels'' and listens to ''older rock music'' and stuff
i think underclass hero had alot to do with avril.
i've listened underclass hero alot during the time i dated my first girlfriend.....just like that girl..the album has never got out of the eye haha

Does anyone else think underclass hero and SBM are kind of the same album? (but underclass is the brighter clean side of deryck - SBM is the emotionally wrecked paranoid side)

does that make sense?

they both have a piano ballad, both have a ''with me'' only the songs on sbm are more ''negative/sad''

That just means your computer is fail.

Back on topic, I pretty much agree with everything jordidanen95 says. I definitely see UH and SBM as two sides of the same personality. Because BYDWK and TFYTG were written and recorded long after the others, the influence of the divorce evidently haven't reached them, thus we have a clearer picture of what kind of sound Detyck is currently after. If this rock n' roll attitude lasts till the next release, I can see more songs like those two on the horizon. Which would kinda be cool, but a whole album of that kind of sound would certainly lose its charm quickly.

Anyone listen to the new Tenacious D record? I kinda reminds me of SBM because almost all the songs start slow with an acoustic guitar and then the electric guitar and drums kick in. Something I noticed.

I'd like to see a garage rock sound as well.

As long as they put in effort into it I won't mind them going the garage rock route, but you can tell Time For You to Go and Baby You Don't Wanna Know were written in 10 minutes.

It'd be cool if they did an All Killer equivalent (catchiness, fun, summer-feel) of garage rock tunes.

Dude, cut it out.. You're getting really annoying!

I hope they'll stick with the heavier sound for now.
I never really got into AKNF and HHOP, there are some decent songs on it but that's it.

Have you seen my avatar? :glad: I Personally think it's great. Hoowever, some songs we're a big disappointment. It feels like the 2nd half of the album was kinda rushed. "They Fucked Our Asses" couldve been a masterpiece- but then it just ended! like wtf! I thought it was on its way to being an epic song!! ROck Is Dead and 39 are also disappointing.

But on the positive side- Throwdown, Deth Starr, Senorita, Rize of the Fenix, and Low Hangin' Fruit are creamtastic! :glad:

Seriously. What's your problem?
If you're trying to be funny or something, you fail miserably.
