That's not my call.
The new album won't be out in July. So what else would a 5-disc set in July mean?
Then again, what was the point of releasing ATGS without a new song Always?

All full-lenght studio albums, at least that's the only thing I can think of making sense.

If the new single gets officially released on the 6th of july (which is in about uhm 6 weeks or something), than we might get to hear it in about a week or 4.
Those things always leak.

How do you know that?

I wonder if Universal Japan will do the 45 second preview thing again like they did with Underclass Hero. If they do... I might break and listen to them.
If Universal Japan does do that, we should make a pact not to listen or download any of the samples so then none of us get tempted. I know if people are listening to the samples and giving their opinions, I won't be able to hold back.

I did it with Chuck, and it was a mistake, so I managed to survive from the UH ones.

I want the whole experience this time, so I won't listen to that. I'm even thinking about not listening to the single, but I'm not sure about that.
I will have my brother over, order in a huge delicous pizza and then get wasted while listening to the new album in repeat. Just need to get two hot girls to join us for the perfect release party. But since they would have to be Sum 41 fans as well, I guess it's not going to happen. At least that way, the album won't be jealous for not getting any attention.

I'm thinking about same, but I don't know if I can do that. Depends on how long gap there is from the single release to the album release.
And I like your release party plan.

I did that with UH and I regret it a little.

Why do you regret it?

I didn't listen to the record as a whole when it was released. I judged all the tracks by themselves and was disappointed that I didn't like all the other tracks as much as Underclass Hero and March Of The Dogs, which were out before the album. It took me quite a while to actually like it.
Go to my profile and search for all my posts. Go to the last page and you will find that one of my first posts ever on this site, was a topic about Underclass Hero (the album) being a let-down.

I won't doubt to listen to the single. They release it, so why not listen to it? And it will be easier to resist the album when it comes out, when you already have a single to listen to, imo.
I regret listening to Chuck and UH before they officially came out.

There's not a single song by sum 41 that I don't like so that's not a big deal for me...

I don't mean I didn't like them at all, just not as much as I expected at the time.
I also don't think there is any song that I really dislike, but there are quite a few songs that I have rarely listened to without the album context.

It's never retarded to ask something, thats how you learn.

When I saw it the first time I thought it was just a box with all the previously released albums... why haven't the guys told us anything about this?

Maybe they didn't know it themselves?
EDIT: Overall post #40 000 in The Sums section!
